Here are the key points for transporting plate heat exchangers in a container

Complete Packaging: Plate heat exchangers are usually shipped as complete packages, with upright and center of gravity markings on the container. When lifting the container, consider the center of gravity.

Lifting Precautions: The two clamping plates of the plate heat exchanger have lifting ears for use when lifting. The lifting ropes should not be hung on the connectors, upper and lower guide rods, front support columns, or plate pieces.

Transportation Safety: During transportation, take appropriate safety measures to prevent equipment damage or personal injury. Choose the right transportation tools and routes, and ensure the equipment is securely fixed during transportation.

Site Preparation: Before installation, prepare the installation site thoroughly, checking for flatness, load-bearing capacity, and perform cleaning and disinfection.

Installation Safety: When installing, pay attention to construction safety, especially when working at heights, take safety measures such as setting up safety belts and protective nets.

Quality Control: During installation, inspect and test the equipment, such as checking the sealing performance and stability of the support frame, to ensure the installation quality meets requirements.

Safety Measures: To ensure the safety of equipment operation, set up corresponding safety measures around the equipment, such as safety valves, pressure relief devices, and take fire prevention and explosion-proof measures.

Upright Transportation: Plate heat exchangers should be transported upright to avoid lying horizontally, as this may affect their functional performance.

Storage Conditions: Plate heat exchangers should be stored in a dry, ventilated warehouse, with the environmental temperature not exceeding 40°C to avoid damage from high temperatures.

Medium Discharge: After use, close the pumps and power, and discharge all the media inside the equipment to prevent corrosion from chemical reactions.

Venting: If the medium may react with air, open the vent valve for processing.

Equipment Maintenance: After stopping work, perform proper maintenance on the equipment to keep it in good condition.

Following these precautions ensures the safety and integrity of the plate heat exchanger during transportation and installation, thereby extending the equipment’s service life and maintaining its efficient operation.
